Therapy is a collaborative process with the goal of healing psychological pain, fostering insight, developing personal empowerment and creating inner-harmony so you can live as your authentic self. Acceptance and Committment Therapy focuses on developing skills that increase our awareness, power, and connection to our Core-Self. These tools enable you to free yourself of the illusion of control, soften self-created hopelessness, and take lead over your life. Together we will work at your pace towards achieving a full, meaningful and enriching life.

Engaging in an intimate relationship can be one of life’s most fulfilling pleasures. Relationships empower us to love and be loved, provide companionship, growth, sex, and enable us to create a new sense of belonging and family. Likewise relationships can be incredibly trying, filled with imbalance, miscommunication, betrayal, jealousy, fighting, and heartbreak. At their best, loving relationships take us to new heights. At their worst they can be incredibly damaging. In relationship counseling we work to create healthy fulfilling relationships that benefit all involved.

Experiential avoidance means trying to get rid of, avoid, or escape from unwanted private experiences such as thoughts, feelings, and memories. It’s the polar opposite of acceptance. Compulsive addictions—whether substance or behavioral in nature—are by far the most accessible form of experiential avoidance. Addiction has served a very important purpose in protecting you from your pain inventory. At the same time, it has created more suffering. In addiction counseling, we learn to change our relationships with these behaviors through a lens of compassion, curiosity, and clarity.
Paying for Treatment
Insurance & Private Pay
Therapy services are almost always covered by medical insurance. Simply contact your insurance company and request benefit information to verify your coverage. Services are occasionally paid out-of-pocket directly by patients to providers as well. Payment are due at the time of service and e-payment options are available.
If you’d like to work with me at a reduced rate, please reach out to me through Open Path. This nonprofit serves those who lack health insurance or whose health insurance doesn’t provide adequate mental health benefits. These clients also cannot afford current market rates for therapy (between $100-275 a session). Open Path helps it’s members access their choice of affordable mental health care.
